Montreal is fabulous about six months of the year. From May to October, it's lively and lovely. I love almost everything about spring, summer and fall. Sadly, those three seasons are condensed into those six months.

The other six are winter. The winter is much less pretty and can be ridiculously cold if you're not used to being where it stays below freezing for three month stretches. Plus the locals get very surly. Still, there are fun things to do all the time here.

And the poutine is good year round!
