I love the Grand Canyon, but...

...the very idea of this thing both scares me, and revolts me a bit. Here you have one of the most perfect, beautiful places on earth, and now it has some weird walkway sticking out over it, so people can pee their pants looking down...at least that is what I imagine my reaction being...check out this graph!

I'd rather have the goofy tourists walking that gangplank than slipping down the icy trail with improper footwear and taking out the rest of us. I hiked the Grand Canyon with my mom 6 years ago, and coming out at the top was harrowing because of the busloads of tourists wearing kitten heels and skittering down the trail. Aieeee!
