I love stamps

I am not a stamp collector, though maybe I should be. I adore stamps. I also really enjoy letter writing, the exchange of packages, and snail mail in general.

So when the post office comes out with its new stamps for the year, I generally am a little excited. But this year there are three I'm particularly smitten with:

1) Favorite Children's Book Animals. What's not to love?

2) Wonders of America: Land of Superlatives Two of my favorite hobbies combined into one...road trips + snail mail. Hooray!

3) DC Comics Superheroes. This of course begs the questions, will there be other company's superheroes making appearances in the near future? I am particularly taken with the Plastic Man stamp...who would have imagined that showing up in the mail?

I really do need to use up last years stamps though. I still have 3 sheets of charming Muppet ones.
