I've found myself in the old catch-22 all week of: too tired to exercise, no energy because I haven't been exercising.

Then again, I've also been very very busy.

Thursday night I had a marathon phone conversation with my friend J. in Chicago. I don't think I've talked on the phone that long since college. My father and brother then arrived at my house at 1:30 a.m., but happily did not require entertainment, merely flat soft surfaces.

Friday I got up and did some dandelion beheading and removed slugs from beer traps. Drank coffee with father. Got sucked into internet. Then went thrift shopping with my friend S., and met up friends B. and A. for happy hour. Then came home and slept through 80% of a movie.

Saturday, got up early and went to work. Went to one of the most expensive estate sales I've ever been to, where I bought used slippers. Left work early to attend the lovely wedding of

holyoutlaw and

juliebata. This was followed by a delightful Chinese dinner, where I had nice conversations with

fringefaan,

kate_schaefer,

jerrykaufman, and a bunch of other folks who's LJ handles I can't recall at the moment. This was followed by yummy cake. Then I went downtown to Shorty's and met up with

thisisnotanlj, S.,

carapace_green and

carapace_spouse. I was pleased to be told that I kicked pinball ass.

Today I went to a baby viewing/handling/cooing, then off to work. Came home, had Chinese food (again) with my dad and brother.

A good weekend overall, but dang if I'm not looking forward to 4 more days of work, followed by 3 days out of town, followed by 5 more days of work. All I really want to do is stay home, garden, and read...but it is Spring and the world is calling.
