I forgot how much I loved Hee Haw as a kid (and Rilo Kiley now).

When I was in grad school, I once popped up from behind the information desk in a manner that reminded a patron of Hee Haw, so I started doing it deliberately to fuck with people.

I still love singing Where O' Where Are You Tonight?...though to be honest, I only knew the first four lines! Which, sadly enough, I can now sing with true understanding:

Where, oh where, are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over and I thought I'd found true love.
But you met another and PTHHP! you was gone.

Though frankly, I wish he had been gone as soon as he met another, rather than waiting until somebody else told me and I kicked his ass to the curb.

My grandfather totally loved watching Hee Haw. You know, I grew up with a television, so when we would visit my grandparents we were practically glued to the set. But if someone else wanted to watch something, we had to watch what they wanted. Anyway, we loved to watch Hee Haw with him. Our interactions with him were fairly limited, and I don't remember a ton, but I do remember this one. Thanks for the warm fuzzies this morning.
