I'm having trouble getting started this morning.

Yesterday I had one of the better days at work I've had in a while. Something has changed and my attitude is improving again.

Last night my pal S. came over and we discovered that the good place for dim sum near my house is also good for late night eating...until Midnight on Fridays! We had Sizzling (not really) Rice Soup, Chinese Broccoli with Garlic Sauce, Honey Shrimp with Walnuts, and Salt and Pepper Crab (convinced by the waitress since crab was on sale for a good price). It was lovely.

Then we went back to my house and watched Be Cool, which was surprisingly fun. The Rock was hilarious as a gay Samoan cowboy/bodyguard which doesn't come off as offensive as it sounds at all.

This morning I read Pyongyang: A Journey In North Korea which was depressing, but quite good. I recommend it if you want insight into N.K.

I bought tickets to go see The Wedding Present next week. And also Animal Collective next month.

Today I'm planning on going to the Washington state ACLU Annual Membership Conference. I am also thinking about swimming or going to the gym beforehand, but am seriously under-motivated and seem to be drinking coffee and dinking around on the computer instead. I also am thinking about driving some old hotel patio chairs to the recycling center. I love them, but they have rusted out to the point of being dangerous, alas. And gradually I'm trying to get spring cleaning underway here at Chez Moi.

Tonight I hope to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] carapace_green and [livejournal.com profile] carapace_spouse.

Tomorrow I'm going thrift shopping with [livejournal.com profile] jillbertini and [livejournal.com profile] lara7. Then I'm off to a singles pre-Valentines Day party. Woo hoo.
