too early for wakefulness or mice

Jet lag still has me in its clutches...I've been waking up at 5 almost every day. This morning I could not fall back asleep because I heard noises. Tiny noises. Like a itsy bitsy mammal crawling through one's pantry. I wish I could say I was surprised, but while sitting at the computer last night I heard something in the wall of the back bedroom...where I haven't heard noises since I boarded over the hole the birds were coming through (off-season, so hopefully not to trap anyone).

I vow I will not set it on fire, rebellibrarian. But alas, it must go. I killed 4 last year. I think I'm going to have to start getting more sophisticated about all this...or at least follow through on my plan to find holes and fill them will steel wool.

Bah.

we've had trouble with mice too. i hate to kill them - but i've lost the pied piper's number.
