comic weekend

I'm rather excited, for this weekend I will be attending my first comic book convention. Emerald City ComiCon is the pride and joy of my fella. I'll be volunteering all weekend to feel helpful, and to stay out his way ;) I'm looking forward to maybe meet some of my favorite writers, depending how shy I'm feeling. Last time I was in a room with Ellen Forney, I totally chickened out. And just what would I have to say to Brian Michael Bendis? Ah well, it should be super fun regardless. Plus, thisisnotanlj and johnaegard will both be there for sure, so enjoyment is inevitable.

I get like that in front of people I admire. Sometimes I am able to overcome my pain and other times not. I always regret it when I don't go up to the person and make a complete fool of myself :P.

If nothing else, it makes for a great story!

I went to Ellen Forney's show for her new book and had her sign it, and she was suuuper nice. I like her a lot. Not to mention that she takes yoga where I do, and once she even spotted me for handstand. I had no idea who she was then (I mean, I knew of Ellen Forney, I just didn't realize she was Ellen Forney :P).

Yeah...I've been in yoga classes with her too, but wasn't sure who she was at the time either, even though Lisa said she was in the class!

I wonder if we ever were in a yoga class together without knowing it?

Yeah, me too! I would be surprised, but it may have happened. I only took classes with Lisa a few times - I've been a devotee of Denise's classes for the most part.

I just love Lisa's sense of humor. I'm hoping the fella and I can fit in one of her beginners level classes (on his 101 list) soon.
