What is your favorite thing to do with a crock pot? I have two, love soups and stews, and am looking for new ideas/recipes. I particularly like things you can ignore for 9 hours, as that is how long I am gone to work and back.

I'm sure you could make this pumpkin stew (http://www.wutheringbites.com/eat/recipe.asp?RecipeID=80) in a crockpot! :) A little late for the meeting, but it'd still be tasty.

I have two. :)

CHICAGO ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES

3 to 4 lb. lean beef roast
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 beef bouillion cube
1 bay leaf
3 to 5 whole peppercorns
1 tsp. each:
garlic powder
Italian seasoning
sweet basil
summer savory
oregano
Hard rolls, hoagie rolls or French bread

De-fat roast. Place in crock pot. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over roast. Add enough water to almost cover the meat. Cook over low heat 8-10 hrs. or until meat is very tender. Remove from broth, saving the broth. Shred meat with a fork, serve on rolls or bread with broth. (We like to sprinkle the meat with a little cheese and toast it as well.)

CROCK POT BARBEQUE SANDWICHES
Every time we have a party our friends ask us to make these. They are SO GOOD. This feeds a big crowd but could probably be scaled down. It's damn good leftovers, though, and it would probably freeze well too.

24 buns
3 lbs. boneless pork roast
3 lbs. boneless chuck
1 bunch celery, chopped
3 cups chopped onion
12 oz. ketchup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 bottle chili sauce
3 tbsp. smokeless barbeque sauce
3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. dried mustard
1 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. water

Cut meat into chunks. Place in crock pot. COmbine all other ingredients and pour over meat. Bring to a boil. Cook in crock pot on hi for six hours. After 6 hours, use a fork to shred the meat. Use a slotted spoon to serve on buns
