Sounds nobody thinks about...

As I sat reading on the couch this evening, the wind died down for a moment and the dog also stopped snoring for a few seconds...long enough for me to hear a sound I don't know if I have heard before. The cat, who was sleeping next to my head on the back of the couch, lifted herself up in a big stretch, and I actually heard the sound of her entire body vibrating with stretchy goodness! I wish one could capture these odd sounds somehow, like a snapshot. It reminds me of one of my other favorite sounds, primarily because it is so unusual, and therefore refreshingly pleasing...the sounds of frozen slices of bread being pulled apart. They really do make a most satisfying near-popping sound. Try it.
