new camera

I finally got around to ordering a new camera, after checks were received for two extra speaking gigs. It may be more than I need, but I'm really excited about it. Basically it is the fanciest version of my old camera on the market right now. Looking forward to getting creative with digital again and posting soon :)

My only concern really is the noise levels (is that the right terminology?) The newer cameras coming out from them have fewer megapixels, which makes me worry that 10 is too many. And the review, while generally very positive agreed that this is a problem with the higher level photos on this camera. But it has one hell of a micro setting...finally I can take good photos of bugs, slugs, snails, arm hair, scabs, and food!

Would love to get some pointers from you sometime :)
