Hooray for band practice!

After my band took a break for the summer from practice in June, well, we just never got it together again.  And with the new job, I felt too busy to worry about it.  But boy have I missed it.

Last week at dinner with signifier and friends, I connected with leeeah who is also learning how to play.  She is learning bass, and jams regularly with a guitar playing friend.  I invited them over to play tonight, and it was fun fun fun.  I really have missed playing, making music, zoning out to the rhythm, and just interacting with other people at this unspoken level.  And I was pleasantly surprised to realize that I am better at the drums than I give myself credit for...it all came right back, though there certainly is lots of work to be done.  Hopefully, we will play again soon.  I just need to convince everyone to get bigger amps so I don't have to hold back as much.

That could take some time. The only thing this new ensemble seems to be able to play so far is Major Tom ;)

My amp is still parked in your back room and kicks out a pretty good punch. I would not be offended if you let guests use it.

Which amp? Are they both yours? I'm not certain if all the wiring is here or not. Particularly for the microphone.
